History

The Cairo International Stadium is the first of its kind with Olympic standards in the Middle East and Africa. It is located in the Nasr City area of ​​northeast Cairo. It was designed by the German architect Werner Mars, the same architect who designed the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, 1936, completed in 1960 and inaugurated by the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser at the July Revolution celebrations of the same year. The Air Forse One World Kickboxing Championship kicked off at Cairo Stadium in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports. Ashraf Sobhi thanked the leaders of the armed forces and the military sports apparatus for supporting the tournament, which witnessed the participation of a hero of the armed forces, Colonel Muhammad Abdo Abu Steit. The tournament will be held with the participation of 22 players from Egypt, Russia, the Netherlands and Jordan. The Pharaohs team, consisting of 11 male and female players from the Egyptian Air Force team, is competing for gold medals in the tournament.
