International Cairo Stadium

History

The Cairo International Stadium is the first of its kind with Olympic standards in the Middle East and Africa. It is located in the Nasr City area of ​​northeast Cairo. It was designed by the German architect Werner Mars, the same architect who designed the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, 1936, completed in 1960 and inaugurated by the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser at the July Revolution celebrations of the same year. Hockey Stadium

It was established as part of th¬e Indoor Halls Complex. The area is 38000m2. It is connected to the Halls Complex through a tunnel of 8 m. width.

According to the International Federation Law the field area is 92 m. length and 55 m width.

• The stadium includes (6) Service Buildings, managers rooms, players and referees' changing rooms, toilets and cafeterias for spectators, and managerial activities. Parking areas for 20 VIP's cars and 40 spectators' cars.
