History

The Cairo International Stadium is the first of its kind with Olympic standards in the Middle East and Africa. It is located in the Nasr City area of ​​northeast Cairo. It was designed by the German architect Werner Mars, the same architect who designed the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, 1936, completed in 1960 and inaugurated by the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser at the July Revolution celebrations of the same year. The Minister of Sport explained that the follow-up to the project to establish a cycling track at the Cairo International Stadium, and that work is underway in full swing, and is scheduled to finish all work by the track at the end of May.
