History

The Cairo International Stadium is the first of its kind with Olympic standards in the Middle East and Africa. It is located in the Nasr City area of ​​northeast Cairo. It was designed by the German architect Werner Mars, the same architect who designed the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, 1936, completed in 1960 and inaugurated by the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser at the July Revolution celebrations of the same year. The Swimming Pools Complex at Cairo Stadium will host the Egypt Short Course Swimming Championship for categories from 15 years old to the general public, starting Saturday, April 12, and continuing until Saturday, May 10, 2025. This follows the conclusion of the Egypt Short Course Swimming Championship for categories from 13 to 14 years old, which was hosted by the complex from April 5 to 10, 2025. We wish all participants the best of luck in the tournament.
