History

The Cairo International Stadium is the first of its kind with Olympic standards in the Middle East and Africa. It is located in the Nasr City area of ​​northeast Cairo. It was designed by the German architect Werner Mars, the same architect who designed the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, 1936, completed in 1960 and inaugurated by the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser at the July Revolution celebrations of the same year. The indoor halls complex at Cairo Stadium is preparing to receive the International Pharaohs Artistic Gymnastics Championship (men and women), which is hosted by the Egyptian Gymnastics Federation, and will be held from August 18 to August 20, at the Cairo Stadium Authority indoor complex. Twelve countries are participating in the tournament, which are: Azerbaijan, Guadium Sportiba, AB Gymna Stakes, representing India, Morocco, Jordan, Qatar, Tunisia, Armenia, Georgia and Taipei, GK Dobrava Zagreb from Croatia, Gimnastica Club from Lebanon, and Egypt, the organizing country.
