History

The Cairo International Stadium is the first of its kind with Olympic standards in the Middle East and Africa. It is located in the Nasr City area of ​​northeast Cairo. It was designed by the German architect Werner Mars, the same architect who designed the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, 1936, completed in 1960 and inaugurated by the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser at the July Revolution celebrations of the same year. The Egyptian Table Tennis Federation is organizing the Arab Paralympic Championship, which will be held next February in the indoor complex of Cairo Stadium. Hosting the Arab Championship comes a few days before the Egyptian International Paralympic Championship as well, which will be held in the covered halls complex at Cairo Stadium. Egypt organized the Egyptian International Table Tennis Championship, which was also held in Cairo Stadium, and then the Arab Club Championship, in which 39 teams from different Arab countries participated.
